Good evening
This week has seen another 20 new members join our every growing Mini Ballers Squad. A big warm welcome to everyone who has joined us recently at our very popular Pre School groups. We have had a very successful start to our new 4 week block, with lots of football played. This week we have also been able to return indoors at Margam Youth Centre and Giants Grave BGC. We will always where possible aim to play outside, however now the guidance from the Welsh Government has changed we now have an indoor option which means we wont be interrupted by any bad weather. This is also the case at our Sunday Soccer School Groups.
Please can you ensure all fees are payed up front before the start of the block, this guarantees your place at our classes. There is so much demand currently for our Pre School Groups and there are many children waiting to join so If you no longer want the space please let us know as soon as possible. We have a few new names on our register who haven't attended this week.
Thank you for your patience with training kit and tracksuit orders, there has been a delay sourcing training kits from Europe, and currently any training kits that are 6xs (2nd size up) are currently out of stock until mid may. All other orders should be with me soon, I'm hoping this week.
We have some exciting news for our older players in our Soccer School groups. Over the past few weeks, myself and Ross have been discussing the need for some players to be stretched further in terms of their football development. In reality, some of our older players have now been playing football at Mini Ballers for 18 Months. To support these Mini Ballers further, we have arranged our 1st training match with a local under 5s team, Trefelin BGC on Saturday 15th May.
Please note that this is not for every Mini Baller.
At Mini Ballers we will always put the welfare of our children 1st. Due to the age of our players we have to be very careful as to who plays these games, not just to ensure they are physically safe and don't get hurt, but also we don't want to knock their confidence, and undo all the hard work they have done with us since they have joined. We have already messaged the parents of the Mini Ballers who we would like to play, and if we haven't messaged you and you think your Mini Ballers would benefit from playing a game, please speak to me on a one to one when I see you next.
Our plan is to play a few games over the next few months and through the summer so there will be plenty of opportunity to play a training game if we feel its right for the player. I hope all this makes sense and please speak to me if you would like to discuss further.
Your time at This weeks soccer school groups may change for this week only. I will send you a message if you are effected, thank you for your help with this if so.
Finally.... as previously mentioned, our Mini Ballers squad as grown further this week, and we now can confirm we have further plans to expand our Soccer School Groups at Giants Grave.
From the end of May, we will be adding another group on a Sunday Morning, and will be splitting the group by age. This will generally mean all our 3 year old's will be in one group, and our 4/5 year old's will be in another. This will then allow us to tailor our sessions to the relevant age, maximizing the opportunity for all our players at Giants Grave to really benefit from our sessions. I will be in touch closer to the end of this block with some more information. This also means another 12 members joining our Mini Ballers squad, taking our total members to 132.
Thank you for all your continued help and support at Mini Ballers.
See you all soon
Ryan, Michelle, Ross and Rhys
